On-chip power integrity and power noise issues are challenging backend designers like never before. While technology scaling offers advantages in terms of performance and power consumption, any design – being a small design or a complex System-on-Chip (SoC) – may suffer from power integrity and IR-drop issues, caused by the ever increasing dynamic current peaks and slopes (di/dt).
